Beck Institute is proud to announce that we have officially partnered with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing to help its members access our outstanding training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R). The National Council serves as a voice for behavioral health providers, driving policy, providing training, and promoting greater understanding of mental health issues among the general public.
We are excited to partner with the National Council because we are committed to increasing access to our trainings. This partnership will help us deliver on our mission and improve the lives of people living with mental health challenges. Beck Institute’s Executive Director, Lisa Muchnick Pote, MSW shared her excitement about the partnership: “At Beck Institute, we envision a world where everyone can access affordable, effective psychotherapy appropriately adapted to their specific challenges and backgrounds, including culture, language, education level, and socioeconomic status. Being able to offer training in CBT and CT-R to the National Council’s member organizations is an important step toward that goal.”
The National Council serves 3,400 organizations employing over 800,000 staff who serve over 10 million adults, children, and families living with mental health issues and addictions in the United States. Services provided by National Council members include psychiatric crisis services, inpatient services, case management, jail diversion programs, suicide prevention, addiction treatment, rehabilitation, and community-based services. This partnership will help us better understand the needs of these varied providers, so we can continue to build flexible, relevant trainings for health and mental health professionals who use CBT and CT-R in a variety of settings. As part of the partnership, the National Council’s member organizations are now able to access discounted trainings in CBT and CT-R. Are you or your organization a member of the National Council?
