The Work Sample requirements for Beck Institute CBT Certification must be submitted after a candidate completes all other required coursework and supervision for each program level.

When you are ready to submit a Work Sample and fee, please contact us at certification@beckinstitute.org. Upon contact, we will provide you with a payment link for that Work Sample submission. Upon receipt of payment, we will provide you with a link to a folder in our secure, HIPAA-compliant portal. You will submit that Work Sample to this folder for review by the Beck Institute Rating Committee.

Please allow up to sixty days for review of each work sample submission. A final determination about your CBT Certification status will be made by the Beck Institute Credentialing Committee. You will be contacted with your results.

Beck Institute CBT Certified Clinician (BICBT-CC) Work Sample

The Work Sample for Beck Institute CBT Certification must be submitted after the required coursework and supervision has been completed, as well as attesting to the completion of 5 Case Write-ups and treatment of 10 cases using CBT through the Certification Profile. This Work Sample consists of a therapy session recording (.Mp3 file type) and Case Write-up, including a Cognitive Conceptualization Diagram (CCD). You may not use a client you submitted for supervision. If you are unable to submit an English therapy recording, you must submit an English-translation of your submitted recording along with the recording itself. The Work Sample submission costs $300 for evaluation by the Beck Institute Rating Committee and Beck Institute Credentialing Committee.

Beck Institute CBT Certified Master Clinician (BICBT-CMC) Work Samples

The BICBT-CMC Certification level requires two Work Samples to be submitted. Each of these Work Samples consist of a therapy session recording (.Mp3 file type) and Case Write-up, each including a Cognitive Conceptualization Diagram (CCD). You may not use a client you submitted for any supervision you have completed with Beck Institute nor use the same client or session for the new Work Sample submissions. Both Work Samples require two new clients, sessions and Case Write-Ups. If you are unable to submit an English therapy recording, you must submit an English-translation of your submitted recording along with the recording itself. Each Work Sample submission costs $300 for evaluation by the Beck Institute Rating Committee and Beck Institute Credentialing Committee, making the total Work Sample costs for Beck Institute CBT Master Level Certification $600. Both Work Samples must be submitted at the same time.
