Dear Beck Institute Community,
I hope that you are staying well and finding ways to navigate the new challenges brought about by the current health crisis surrounding COVID-19. For me, this crisis illustrates how interconnected we are, even across the globe. As leaders in CBT, Beck Institute has much to offer the world right now.
Here are the ways we are responding to COVID-19:
- First, we remain open for business! You can contact our staff between 8:30am and 4:30pm, EST.
- Second, our many training programs: online courses, workshops (now in live webinar format, through May 31), and Training for Organizations (also in live webinar format) are running as scheduled.
- Third, our CBT and CT-R experts are creating and curating content to help individuals and health/mental health professionals cope with the ramifications of COVID-19. Please read blog posts by our leadership and faculty and visit our COVID-19 resource bank for clinical tips and articles for professionals, and other resources such as a shareable list of the Socratic questions.
For Beck Institute community members, many of whom work in health, mental health, or adjacent fields, this is an especially challenging time. I hope that you find the resources we share useful and I would like to hear from you. What are you experiencing right now? What other types of resources can we share that might be helpful? You can write to our Communications Director, Ivy McDaniels, at imcdaniels@beckinstitute.org to share your experiences and ideas.
Most importantly, I hope that you care of your physical and mental health, and that you can use CBT skills to help yourself, your clients, and your community cope with these unpredictable times.
Hoping you’re all in good health,
Judith Beck
