Dr. LoSavio is a licensed psychologist and Beck Institute CBT Certified Clinician, board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in the Behavioral and Cognitive specialty. Dr. LoSavio is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UT Health San Antonio, where she engages in clinical research and training focused on treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and comorbid conditions.
Dr. LoSavio specializes in evidence-based treatment for PTSD and has provided clinical consultation for numerous research trials and training initiatives. Dr. LoSavio also serves as an implementation consultant for sites working to integrate evidence-based, trauma-focused treatment into their clinical setting. In her research, Dr. LoSavio studies facilitators and barriers to recovery from stressful and traumatic events, mechanisms and outcomes of evidence-based trauma-focused treatments, and adaptations to treatments and training methods to increase the reach of evidence-based care.
