Clinical Psychologist, Community Behavioral Health

Patrick D. Boyle, PsyD is currently a clinical psychologist for Community Behavioral Health in Philadelphia, an adjunct faculty member at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), and adjunct faculty at Beck Institute. Dr. Boyle has significant experience treating and conducting research with individuals diagnosed with substance abuse disorders and individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses. He has implemented CBT across the continuum of care including outpatient clinics, inpatient acute hospitals, substance abuse rehabilitation centers, inpatient medical hospitals, and psychiatric rehabilitation clubhouses. He has presented lectures and trainings on CBT for substance abuse and CBT for schizophrenia throughout the country, with a focus on providing CBT in community mental health settings. Dr. Boyle has been in leadership roles in healthcare systems including residential substance abuse rehabilitation centers and inpatient acute hospitals. Under the supervision of Aaron T. Beck, MD at the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Boyle implemented treatment and disseminated research on Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) and CBT treatment of substance abuse disorders.
