Director, Daniel Beck Group
Daniel Beck is currently Director of the CBT and Social Work Training Initiative (CASTI) at the Boston University School of Social Work and teaches CBT in the MSW and Continuing Education Certificate programs. He received his MSW from Smith College School for Social Work in 1995, completed a two-year Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cognitive Therapy and Research Program in 1997, and became a Founding Fellow of The Academy of Cognitive Therapy in 1998. He has worked as a research clinician on several CBT research projects, including studies at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard School of Public Health, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Some areas of particular interest to Mr. Beck include CBT for severe mental illness and promotion of Social Work in various CBT professional organizations.
