In accordance with Beck Institute’s values, the Social Media Interns support the Sales and Marketing staff to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue.
This Spring 2025 internship will give you hands on social media experience with a respected mental health nonprofit. Help our close-knit team as we raise awareness of our mission and programming by creating monthly editorial calendars, designing compelling content, and engaging with users.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
- Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
- Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
- Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
- Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
- Assist in creation of content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
- Monitor engagement on social media, responding to user comments, and engaging with other mental health and CBT-focused accounts
Requirements:
- In progress or completed bachelor’s degree in digital communications or related field such as advertising or journalism
- Experience in digital marketing/social media marketing
- Impeccable oral and written communication skills
- Experience with the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn
- Excellent internet research skills
- Ability to consistently devote up to 15 hours per week
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a professional capacity
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance
- Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software
- Interest in psychology
