Dr. Williston earned his PsyD from La Salle University. He completed his APA internship at Connecticut Valley Hospital, with rotations in forensic psychology and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. He completed his psychology residency at John F. Kennedy Behavioral Health Center’s methadone clinic in Philadelphia. He is passionate about bringing Cognitive Behavior Therapy to community mental health settings and specializes in the treatment of adults and adolescents with substance use challenges. His dissertation study attempted to increase intake attendance at a university-funded community clinic by means of an acceptance-based letter intervention. The results of this research were presented at the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and an article based on this study was published in Psychological Services.
