Dr. Stroup received her PsyD in clinical psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, California.
She is licensed to practice in California, is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, and is a Beck Institute CBT Certified Master Clinician. She served as an individual investigator, based in Turkey, for the field trials of the DSM-5.
In 2010, Dr. Stroup founded CBTiSTANBUL, dedicated to the practice, study, and promotion of Beckian Cognitive Therapy. She provided workshops and supervision in cognitive therapy for Turkish speaking psychotherapists from around the world. She has also served on the faculty of masters- and doctoral-level programs in local universities in Istanbul.
Dr. Stroup’s practice is now centered in California, where she focuses on adults and young adults; her areas of specialty are obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, illness anxiety disorder, and trauma.
