Licensed Professional Counselor, Center for Recover-Oriented Cognitive Therapy
Adam Rifkin received his MA in Professional Clinical Counseling from La Salle University, where he focused his training on the implementation of Cognitive Therapy for populations with Substance Use Disorders and Serious Mental Health Challenges. He completed his practicum and internship at Girard Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At this placement, he worked as both an outpatient therapist with a Dual Diagnosis population and an inpatient therapist on an extended acute unit with a Serious Mental Health Challenge population. His experiences in the field have led him to his current role of collaborating with staff and individuals to integrate Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) principles into treatment at all levels of care to help those who aspire to achieve a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Adam’s interests also include incorporating CT-R into his work with Substance Use, Anxiety, and Pain Management populations.
