CBT for Perinatal Mood Disorders
This training will be held as a live 3-hour webinar.
Depressive symptoms are highly prevalent in the perinatal period, and, if left untreated, can have significant short and long-term consequences for women and their families. In this half-day webinar, you will learn to conceptualize your perinatal clients by utilizing biopsychosocial and cognitive models. You will be introduced to a range of cognitive and behavioral techniques, including problem-solving and mindfulness strategies, for treating perinatal distress in new mothers. A special emphasis will be placed on strategies that strengthen the therapeutic relationship and enhance the collaboration between the client and the clinician. You will have an opportunity to review several clinical cases that demonstrate application of cognitive behavior principles and to discuss cultural adaptations of CBT techniques.
This training will be held as a live 3-hour webinar over Zoom. Please download the latest version of Zoom Client for Meetings and view the technical requirements prior to the webinar.
Please note that the webinar will not be recorded.
