Group Therapy for Schizophrenia

Learn to deliver effective group cognitive behavior therapy for schizophrenia with this special one-day course.

Aaron Brinen, PsyD, is at the forefront of the development of Group Recovery Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R). You’ll learn how to use engagement as a behavioral experiment within a group context, identify important values, elicit aspirations among multiple group members, and plan action steps. Through didactic lecture and experiential exercises, including roleplay of a group session, you will learn how to motivate clients to take positive action in the recovery process. You will also learn how to integrate group treatment with individual treatment.
