Forensic Settings and CT-R

This training will be held as a live 90-minute webinar.

Individuals with justice system involvement and mental health challenges often experience a profound sense of disconnection, stigma, powerlessness, worthlessness, and hopelessness. They may find taking the next step in their recovery overwhelming and seemingly impossible, whether this is meeting with their legal team, appearing in court, serving out a sentence, or reentering the community. Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) provides a framework to develop strategies to collaborate with these individuals to actively pursue a desired life that turns forensic involvement into resilience. This webinar will review the basic theory of CT-R and its application to various forensic settings (e.g. community-based, secure settings, inpatient). We will highlight specific strategies that can be flexibly applied by staff of any discipline.

This training will be held as a live 90-minute webinar over Zoom. Please download the latest version of Zoom Client for Meetings and view the technical requirements prior to the webinar.

Please note that the webinar will not be recorded.
