CBT for Youth
Learn CBT techniques to treat children and adolescents suffering from depression and anxiety.
Wendy Wild, PsyD, will discuss and demonstrate how to conduct effective treatment for clients between the ages of 7 and 18. You’ll learn how to develop a conceptualization based on the cognitive model and how to use your conceptualization to plan treatment. You’ll learn how to engage youth in therapy and develop a strong therapeutic relationship. You’ll also learn how to adapt standard CBT interventions so they are appropriate for different age groups in various settings, including schools. Experiential exercises will help you practice new skills, so you can transfer your learning to your real-life clients.
Available Dates in 2020:
- June 15-17
