CBT for Youth

This workshop will be hosted online.

Led by expert Beck Institute faculty member Wendy Wild, PsyD, this experiential workshop focuses on the empirically supported applications of CBT with youth, emphasizing the developmentally appropriate and practical skills necessary to orient caregivers, children, and youth to the cognitive behavioral model. The aim of this training is to empower clinicians with skills that prevent or change the development of maladaptive cognitions and behaviors to enhance the wellbeing of this and future generations.

Suitable for both the novice and advanced clinician, this workshop will help build age-appropriate skills – specifically related to the interplay of emotions, behaviors, and cognitions – for caregivers and youth. An essential focus is placed on the cognitive conceptualization of the child, the system, and the dynamic interplay of the two within the system context. Skills to target emotion regulation, behavioral management, and cognitive flexibility will be taught and experientially practiced so learners leave armed with what they need to know to practice CBT for youth with fidelity to evidence-based practices.

This workshop will be held as a live training over Zoom. Please download the latest version of Zoom Client for Meetings and view the technical requirements prior to the workshop.

Please note that the workshop will not be recorded.
