Stefanie T. LoSavio, PhD, ABPP is a licensed psychologist, board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in the Behavioral and Cognitive specialty. Dr. LoSavio currently serves as Clinical Associate in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University Medical Center, where she engages in clinical research and training focused on treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. LoSavio is a consultant in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, providing consultation for numerous research trials and training initiatives. She provides consultation in Written Exposure Therapy for PTSD for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Dr. LoSavio also serves as an implementation consultant for organizations working to integrate evidence-based, trauma-focused treatment into clinical settings. In her research, Dr. LoSavio studies facilitators and barriers to recovery from stressful and traumatic events, mechanisms of evidence-based, trauma-focused treatments, and adaptations to treatments and training methods to increase the reach of evidence-based care.
