Kathrine Bakke-Friedland, PhD, is a CBT clinician, supervisor, and trainer with more than 20 years of experience. She received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1999 and completed her post-doctoral residency under the supervision of Dr. Allen Miller. During her tenure at WellSpan Behavioral Health in York, PA, she divided her time between clinical work, supervision and training, and program development. She was on faculty of the APA-accredited CBT internship, and trained and supervised interns and post-docs. She developed and provided psychology services at WellSpan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital, where she also provided training and supervision to medical staff.
Dr. Bakke-Friedland has extensive experience in treating patients with medical conditions, addictions, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and personality disorders. She dedicates much of her clinical work to marginalized populations, and often incorporates Motivational Interviewing with CBT.
Dr. Bakke-Friedland now works at St. Olavs Hospital, Norway as a clinical psychology specialist. In addition to providing direct clinical care, program development, and supervision, she is also responsible for coordinating staff development and training to the clinical staff.
