Alex Shortall joined Beck Institute in October 2016 as Intake Coordinator, and he has recently moved into a new role as Dr. Judith Beck’s Executive Assistant. In his current position, he manages Dr. Beck’s correspondences, clinical activities, conference appearances, and more. Alex graduated from the Honors Psychology program at Temple University in May 2016. While at Temple, he worked as a research assistant in the Infant and Child Lab and completed his honors thesis, which focused on maternal use of directive speech during playtime and its effects on early childhood language development. Outside of work, Alex enjoys roleplaying games and runs a community group to organize tabletop games in West Philadelphia.
