We’ve developed this special workshop, based on our CBT for Depression course, to be an ideal first step for any graduate student or new clinician with under five years of practice. Only offered once a year at a reduced cost, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn and network with other young trainees from around the world.
Learn how to conceptualize clients with depression, plan treatment based on an individualized conceptualization, establish the therapeutic relationship, instill hope, and use effective cognitive and behavioral strategies to motivate clients to complete homework, modify their maladaptive thinking and behavior, and solve problems on their own. Participants will learn how to elicit and respond to clients’ feedback, measure progress, and prevent relapse. The third day of training focuses on identifying and assessing suicidal clients, implementing specific strategies for preventing and managing suicidal crises, and ethical issues.
