Paul Salkovskis, PhD, is Programme Director for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training and Research and Director of the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre. He has worked in the National Health Service with a main area of research and clinical work is in the understanding and treatment of anxiety disorders in general, and more specifically in OCD, Panic and Agoraphobia, and health anxiety.
He is President of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and is Editor in Chief of the BABCP Journal Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy.
He was awarded the British Psychological Society Division of Clinical Psychology MB Shapiro Prize for Distinction in Clinical Psychology in 2017.
