Learn CBT techniques to identify risk factors and plan efficient and effective treatment for clients with suicide-related ideation and/or behaviors.

Led by Daniella Cavenaugh, PhD, this course will present an evidence-based framework for treating clients who experience thoughts and/or engage in suicidal behavior, with the goal of decreasing the risk of future suicidal acts. In this workshop, participants will learn how to conceptualize suicidal thinking and behavior in the context of the cognitive model, assess suicide risk, and apply CBT techniques specific to the treatment and prevention of suicide.

This workshop is a good fit for health and mental health practitioners at the master’s level or above who treat clients with suicidal thinking.
