CBT for Substance Use During the COVID-19 Crisis

In Part 2, Dr. Allen R. Miller, Director of CBT Programs, describes over twenty CBT techniques to use when working with people on recovery issues during the COVID-19 Crisis. As social isolation rules are relaxed and people working on recovery re-enter social situations, they are likely to encounter three major challenges – new urges to use drugs of choice, difficulty reigniting motivation, and new challenges in exchanges with other people. Different CBT techniques are offered as options for helping people with recovery efforts during the stress associated with the COVID-19 crisis.
