Postdoctoral Fellow, Beck Institute Center for Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy

Description:

As part of a dynamic, highly coordinated team, the CT-R Center Postdoctoral Fellow receives training for licensure as a psychologist and develops competency in Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R). The postdoctoral fellow can provide supervised comprehensive training and consultation to organizations and their staff. This position is responsible for the supervised implementation of CT-R training and consultation, program evaluation, and maintaining or expanding contracted relationships with interested organizations. Postdoctoral fellows receive a minimum of 2 hours of individual supervision per week, as per Pennsylvania Board of Psychology requirements, and are expected to complete a minimum of 1,750 hours over the course of a 52-week period.

The postdoctoral fellowship is a one-year position. Candidates must have completed the degree requirements for either a Psy.D. or Ph.D. in psychology (clinical preferred, counseling considered) and be able to provide documentation prior to the start date in the form of a diploma or letter from the graduate program indicating that the degree will be conferred.

Core Duties:

  • Professional Development and Supervision
    • In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Training and Implementation and delegated supervisors as assigned, fellow will develop a personalized training plan for the year.
    • Training plans will consist of targets in the following four categories: Clinical, Supervision and Consultation, Research, and Professional Development.
    • In addition to 2-hours of weekly individual supervision, fellows will engage in group supervision, and specialized weekly sessions with other team members facilitated by Dr. Aaron T. Beck.
    • Fellows are encouraged to participate in additional opportunities for professional development provided by Beck Institute outside of CT-R, such as attending workshops and clinical update meetings as space and time allows.
  • Training of other professionals in CT-R
    • Demonstrate professionalism, sensitivity, and empathy toward staff of all levels of education and experience
    • Coordinate with leadership to assess training and organizational needs
    • Develop content for workshops and trainings for both organizations (such as mental health/medical facilities) and staff who work with individuals experiencing serious mental health challenges
    • Provide scheduled workshops and trainings in both in-person and remote formats
    • Travel to onsite workshops when necessary
    • Assess and incorporate trainees’ feedback into workshop/training
    • Gather, collect, and integrate feedback from trainees to adapt future trainings
  • Consultation
    • Conduct onsite and remote consultations as dictated by the organization’s contract in partnership with senior CT-R team staff
    • Consultations may include, but are not limited to:
      • Model and role play therapeutic interventions and strategies
      • Conduct case conceptualization using CT-R formulation
      • Didactic components
      • Develop CT-R programing within the organization
    • Assess organization’s strengths and areas of growth (e.g. benchmarks, outcome measures)
    • Travel to onsite consultations and conduct site visits as dictated by organization’s contract
  • Individual Therapy
    • Provide supervised individual therapy to clients experiencing serious mental health challenges at a local outpatient facility, as available
    • Attend weekly case conference to update facility treatment staff on individuals’ progress
  • Resource Development
    • Support the development of CT-R resources which may include the creation of:
      • CT-R specific assessment measures
      • CT-R informational resources (e.g. blogs post, white papers, media content)
      • Online trainings and webtools (e.g. creation of scripts, slides, recording audio)
      • Materials to illustrate CT-R strategies and interventions
  • Network Building and Contract Expansion
    • Attend and present at local, national, and international conferences to promote CT-R and its application as relevant to the audience
    • Conduct focus groups in collaboration with senior CT-R team staff with stake holders to assess needs, goals, and feasibility of potential contract
  • Research
    • Maintain current knowledge of relevant research
    • Additional opportunities for involvement in research interests may include: developing scales and other assessments, conducting program evaluation, consultation with agencies conducting CT-R based research, supporting and conducting research based on the mission and priorities of Beck Institute Center for Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy
  • Administrative
    • Coordinate with CT-R team to ensure coverage for consultations and trainings
    • Schedule and maintain consultation and training calendar
    • Coordinate training logistics (schedule, location, and materials)
    • Maintain records of workshops, consultation, supervision, clinical work, and hours tracking
    • Attend and contribute to regularly scheduled team meetings

Business Process Specialist

Position Type: full-time, exempt

Salary: $58,000 with an excellent benefits package

Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and in partnership with Beck’s consultants, the Business Process Specialist will lead the organization’s technological development, oversee technical systems upkeep and maintenance, employ best practices in data management, security, health and integrity, manage all technical systems-based projects with accountability for triple constraints (scope, schedule and cost), and offer technical systems support to staff.

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and in partnership with Beck’s consultants, the Business Process Specialist will lead the organization’s technological development, oversee technical systems upkeep and maintenance, employ best practices in data management, security, health and integrity, manage all technical systems-based projects with accountability for triple constraints (scope, schedule and cost), and offer technical systems support to staff.

Core Duties:

  • In partnership with the IT consultant, consistently seek to improve efficiency, functionality, and security of technical systems; offer technical solutions to match organizational growth and changing needs
  • Work closely with each department to understand their unique needs for systems support; identify improvements and implement changes to best serve each department and user
  • Serve as the organization’s primary Salesforce administrator and LMS administrator.
  • Serve as organization’s primary website administrator with particular focus on security, domain hosting, and integration with other technical systems
  • Coordinate with staff to facilitate the management of online workshops and event registrations including forms and purchases.
  • Partner closely with consultants and internal staff to support upkeep and build out of technical systems
  • Generate custom analytics and reports on targeted metrics. Support and inform departmental strategy through data modelling, forecasting, and identification of critical data patterns
  • Regularly apprise leadership of progress and challenges with current technology; explore new technologies and make recommendations for more efficient or cost-effective systems.
  • Manage the adoption and rollout of new applications and technologies; provide consistent and thorough updates to relevant users and conduct training as needed
  • In cooperation with the Director of Operations, create technology policies and budgets; make budgetary recommendations and communicate about financial impact
  • Maintain compliance and data security protocols in partnership with consultants; complete annual cyber security audit, HIPAA compliance audit, and PCI compliance audits; serve as the organization’s HIPAA Privacy Officer
  • Support development of standard operating procedures and policies; collaborate with teams to determine, document, and facilitate adoption of best practices
  • Consistently identify and scrub or dedupe bad data and monitor for optimal health and integrity; mine for root causes of bad data and improve procedures to decrease likelihood of occurrence
  • Serve as the main point of contact for escalated in-house technology troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate office equipment records and assist with HIPAA-compliant destruction and/or disposal of retired equipment
  • Manage daily backup operations
  • Additional duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least three years’ experience preferably in a non-profit environment working with line managers and IT consultants to improve technical systems in line with changing organizational needs and advancements in technology.  Experience is typically gained in a business process analyst or project manager role.
  • Highly adept at mastering new technologies; moving on an accelerated learning curve and imparting learning to others
  • Familiarity with WordPress or equivalent content management system
  • Familiarity with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Salesforce in an admin capacity highly desirable
  • Experience with an LMS in an admin capacity highly desirable
  • Experience with managing vendor relationships and/or regulatory compliance is highly desirable
  • Some financial acumen and experience with budgeting or resource management is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Drawloop/Docusign, FormAssembly is desirable
