A. Psychlit or PsychInfo, available at university libraries, will help you locate the most current and useful information. We are sorry that we do not have the resources to respond individually to the overwhelming number of requests we receive. A. The only mailing list we currently have is for our newsletter, "Cognitive Therapy Today," issued twice annually and available via email. To sign up to receive email issues of our newsletter, please subscribe.
Q. I checked out the training programs on your website, and I was wondering if you would consider an application from me?
A. Our training programs are designed only for mental health professionals holding at least a Master's degree. Undergraduate and Master level students should contact us after they receive a graduate degree to arrange for training at the Beck Institute. If you do fit the requirements mentioned above, we suggest that you fill out an application and submit it to the Beck Institute so that our Education Committee can review it and determine if your background is appropriate for the program.
Q. I work in a traumatic brain injury unit and I am seeking a Cognitive Remediation or Cognitive Training Therapist. Would the Institute be able to help me?
A. Cognitive Therapy is not the same as Cognitive Remediation or Cognitive Training. We do not offer information on Cognitive Remediation or Cognitive Training, but suggest that you search the web for more information.
